Goelâ 大叫 Shout

055 goela1

Chicho justo vêm, cavâ uví Mími goelâ di alto!

Chito têm mám-macaco, êle-sa mámi tudo-óra goelâ co êle.

Êle-sa siára sômente sabe goelâ.

With rising population, it’s inevitable that from time to time, either on the streets or in a bus, that someone would goelâ right at your ear.  Goelâ is the Patuá verb for screaming or shouting out.  It can also indicate someone singing too loudly.

Example:
Chicho justo vêm, cavâ uví Mími goelâ di alto!
Chicho just arrived and heard Mími singing aloud (shouting).

Chito têm mám-macaco, êle-sa mámi tudo-óra goelâ co êle.
Chito is always fidgety touching everything, his mother is always shouting at him.

Êle-sa siára sômente sabe goelâ.
His wife only knows how to yell.
